Meet the Artist

A love of the outdoors and creativity began with Ann in childhood and eventually took her to the mountains of Colorado to receive her BFA from the University of Denver.

She began a career in marketing and advertising as a graphic artist when projects were still done at a drawing table, working for companies in Denver, Miami and New York before going freelance.

A decade later...

Ann joined the National Society of Decorative Painters and continued her art education with artists from around the world at the NSDP annual conventions. She focused on honing her skills in acrylic painting for over 25 years, eventually falling into teaching art for grades K-12 in both the private and public sectors.

After retiring...

from teaching in 2021 she discovered she enjoyed the details attainable working with colored pencils, and combined her love of art with her love of nature. Inspired by the amazing intricacies of creation, Ann works primarily from her own photography and first hand nature observations; spending much time gardening and bird watching.

Today...

In 2024 Ann began selling her original art and fine art prints at local markets. Every creation begins on a hike, a walking trail, or simply sitting on her back porch with her binoculars admiring the work of the Master Creator.

Professional grade pigments are used for each original work of art. Giclèe prints are printed in house with archival pigment inks and papers maintaining optimal color quality.
